  • Thank you for your interest in the Supervising Teacher role at Indy Summer Learning Labs (ISLL)! This placement process is specifically for staffing community-based learning lab locations. If your school is hosting a Learning Lab or you’re interested in working at a school-hosted site, please contact your school leader directly for details about their hiring process.

    All applicants are employed and compensated directly by Morales Group (Prima Staffing). While ISLL will place employees at various site locations, Morales is the hiring company and assumes full responsibility for employee wages, payroll, and other employment matters.

    This application is for the Supervising Teacher role, which involves overseeing ELA/Math teachers and classroom assistants at community-based Learning Lab locations. There are limited openings for supervising teacher positions. This role is specifically designed for individuals with leadership experience in education. Ideal candidates include those who have served as instructional coaches, team/department leads, or have administrative experience. 

    The Supervising Teacher Application includes a new required video component. This video gives applicants the opportunity to share their interest, experience, and instructional approach in a dynamic, personal format, alongside the required written responses. Detailed prompts and submission instructions are provided later in the application. Please ensure your browser settings allow access to your camera and microphone prior to starting the application.

  • Instructional Staff Role Commitments

  • Compensation: Supervising teachers will be compensated $55/hour. Teachers will receive compensation for teacher training week and programming days, averaging 25 hours per week over six weeks. This includes one week of training and five weeks of programming. You must be present on all designated training and programming days to receive compensation.

    Primary Responsibilities & Expectations:

    • All staff must be available and present during the following dates:
    • Teacher Training Week: June 8-June 12, 2026
      • June 8: Asynchronous Training
      • June 9-11: In-Person Training
      • June 12: Site Welcome Meetings (In-Person)
        Held at assigned site locations.
    • Programming Dates: June 15-July 17, 2026 (All instruction at community learning labs will be in person for 23 days) 
    • Master the curriculum for all assigned ELA/Math grade levels.
    • Coach and support ELA and math teachers, as well as classroom assistants.
    • Provide one-on-one student support when needed.
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of daily student attendance in trackers by 10 AM; collaborate with the academic dean to monitor and maintain consistent attendance tracking.
    • Monitor student assessment data to ensure timely and accurate entry of scores into the assessment platform; coordinate with the academic dean to support effective progress monitoring.
    • Maintain a safe and joyful environment for all students and instructional staff throughout the 5-week program. 
    • Serve as a substitute in the absence of a lead teacher.
    • Coordinate and ensure all student materials are available for the site educators and students at their designated location.
    • Communicate professionally with instructional staff, students, families, academic deans, and site leaders.
    • Attend weekly Lavinia office hours as needed for additional support.
    • Complete all Morales onboarding tasks promptly to secure your placement.
    • Have a laptop to participate in ISLL 2026 and access the Lavinia curriculum for instruction.

    Additional Notes:

    • The following days are designated as non-programming, paid days in observance of holidays:
      • June 19 in observance of Juneteenth and July 3 in observance of Independence Day.
    • All instructional staff are required to pass a background check through Morales Group onboarding. Certain sites may have additional requirements, such as a TB test, Fingerprints, Childcare iLEAD certification, drug screening, and a state background check. These additional requirements will be communicated to you upon selection as an educator for the program.

  • Before beginning your video recording, please ensure your browser settings allow access to your camera and microphone. Save your application before starting the recording to ensure your progress isn’t lost if your browser updates and tabs close unexpectedly.

    When you click Record Video, a Loom pop-up will appear on the right side of your screen.

    Under Video Settings, please select Camera Only.

    • The video icon should display FaceTime HD Camera.
    • The audio icon should be set to Default-Air Microphone (Built-In) specific to your laptop (for example, Default-MacBook Air Microphone (Built-In)).

    Click Start Recording. After clicking Start Recording, there will be a 3-second countdown before the recording begins.

    You will see a 5-minute time limit, but please stop recording at 4:00 minutes. To stop your recording, click on the red square. Any recording longer than 4 minutes will not be reviewed. 

    You are limited to five total recording attempts before being prompted to create a free account. This limit is set by the video platform and includes any restarts or deleted recordings. Please make sure you complete your video within the five allowed attempts to prevent complicating the submission process.

    If you are satisfied with your video after the first take, please click Insert video and continue the application. If you are unsatisfied with your video, please click the return arrow and then click Restart recording or click the trashcan icon to delete your recording. If you choose to delete your video, you will be redirected to the application and will need to click Record Video again to complete the video.
